Castle on a Cloud
Castle on a cloud,
In the damp grey of the morn.
Across the downs so green,
Sparkling in the dawn.
Sky dropped to meet the earth,
All is upside down.
Castle floating on a cloud,
Hidden little town.

A blessing
Remember your winter will soon be over, the spring flowers will brighten the gloom with their jewel colours.
Their fragrances will remind you of people and places.
Their ability to keep bursting through the dark earth year after year, will remind you that you too will bloom again!

May the
May the light shine in, even on long cold dark days.
May the sight of young shoots of bluebells and daffodils bring hope.
May the bright glorious sun give us longer, warmer, happier days.
May the sight of falling leaves, bring hope for the coming new phase.
-
May you
May stillness and peace find you as you lie,
helplessly awake in the dead of the night.
May love be yours to give, and to receive when you feel alone.
May calmness come and stay a while, to scare off your worry and panic.
Hello! Welcome to Now. I'm glad you're here.
Now doesn't last long - look there it goes!
And welcome new Now.

Sonnet 1
Breathe, don't think about it
One step at a time, slowly
Hand on heart, palpitations.
Stop and look around
Life is happening in this moment
People laughing, lounging on the beach
The stillness of the sea.
Brings me back to earth
Gentle reminders not to panic
Senses picking up the salty air.
What can I be grateful for right now?
All can be well I am here
And I am alive.

Sonnet 2
Young in an unfamiliar world,
Wholly alone and unsupported.
Early adulthood spent in a haze.
Middle age beckons & decisions to make.
Relief and clarity prevails,
With a sense of freedom.
I can choose whatever I want,
Without reference to anyone else.
More change comes forward,
I feel the inner power rise.
To meet the challenges,
Within me and without.
I permit myself to slow down,
To discover my true self.
